Material Prices

Materials can vary considerably in price. Here are the materials we work with listed from lowest to highest price:

1. MDF

2. MFC Laminate

3. MDF (including painting)

4. Wood veneer

5. Solid wood

Material Properties
  • MDF is the best material for painting. If you want your joinery to match your walls or if you want a very specific color, MDF would be the recommended material to use.

  • MFC Laminate comes in a huge variety of colors and finishes. Our suppliers have a range of over 260 different laminate colors and finishes, ranging from plain colors to wood imitation, stone, marble, gold, etc. Also, laminate is a very durable material, recommended for worktops and frequently used shelves. • Wood veneer is a more cost-effective option than solid wood. It’s half a millimeter of solid wood glued onto an MDF board. It looks exactly like solid wood and can be oiled, stained, or lacquered, but only a limited number of times as it is a very thin layer of wood.

  • Solid wood is a natural material that takes decades to grow. It’s the most expensive option, but it’s also the best value for money. If it’s looked after properly, solid wood can last for centuries. The most popular hardwood types for furniture are walnut and oak.

Design Cost

We offer a couple of options for design:

1. Clients can pay for 3D and 2D design if they want to do the project themselves or share it with other joiners. If the client decides to go with us for the project, the price of the drawings would be discounted.

2. If the client decides to go with us right away and pays a deposit, we would make the drawings regardless to ensure the client is 100% happy with the design before we start manufacturing.

Do you only produce built-in furniture, or do you also make freestanding furniture?

We specialize in built-in furniture, but depending on the client’s needs, we can also produce freestanding furniture if it’s related to the main order.

Do you provide warranties on your furniture?

Do you travel to all London boroughs for measurements?

Yes, we travel to all London boroughs and surrounding areas for measurements.

What's the difference between spray painting and hand painting?

Both options will give you a great overall look. But if youare a perfectionist, then spray painting is a must. Spray painting will give you a flawless finish, where hand painting will leave roller and brush marks, when looking from close up or on angle.
Although spray painting is a better option it is also considerably more expensive.
Normally only MDF is painted. Other materials like MFC laminate or hardwood don’t require painting.

How long does furniture production take after design approval?

The production time depends on the project’s complexity and the choice of materials. Typically, production takes between 1 to 2 weeks.
